8th July 2018 – Day trip to explore the Bays around Onemana, including Pokohino Bay, Pakahakaha Bay and finally Opoutere Bay. Brief trip notes below…

Departed at 7:05 a.m in the morning on Sunday to Rendevous with other friends staying at Onemana.

• Access to Pokohino Bay can be access via Vehicle or on Foot from Onemana (Take a phone with an up-to-date Topo map. Actual route between Onemana and Pokohino Bay is not that well sign posted – Look for any small wooden signs)
• Access to Pakahakaha Bay is via up and down track from Onemana Drive. (Southern end of Onemana, up the hill there will be a big car park area, where the the track starts)
• Opoutere. Sign posted from State highway 25. If coming from south, make sure it’s Opoutere Road and Not Liddel Road (Both roads are close together). Best Explored at higher tide.
