Whanganui + Surrounds

Continuing on my journey from Manawatu, headed to Wanganui (Whanganui) for a brief stop over en-route to Taumarunui where my next bed was. Sights visited: War Memorial Tower, Virginia Lake, and Bason Botanical Gardens   Next port of call… King Country, Ruakuri Walk and onwards back home to Auckland.

Rivendell + Manawatu

The Weather wasn’t cooperating in Wellington, so grabbed a Relocation Rental from the Thrifty Wellington branch and headed north.  Visited Percy Scenic Reserve, Rivendell (Kaitoke) and Manuwatu Gorge, staying overnight in Palmerston North. Before continuing on to Whanganui.   Next Port of Call… Whanganui.

Hakarimata + Ngaruawahia

19th February 2017 – Short Walk up to the Summit of Hakarimata with an approximate elevation gain of about 350 metres along predominantly stairs. This Track is typically used by locals, Hamiltonians and those from the Wider Waikato region as part of their exercise routine.
