Tuesday 5th January 2021 – Explore Fanthams Peak on Mount Taranaki, Egmont National park.

Walk starts off from Dawsons Falls Visitor Centre carpark with a gentle climb and begins to ascend steeply for the 2nd half of the climb up. There is about 200m elevation gain in scree near the top of the climb, so be prepared (both mentally and physically) for that. Hut that evening was overflowing. Decided to descend back down in the evening and stay at Konini Lodge.
